CM-PRO ARTF Kits ARTF kits are nothing new in today's age of radio control model aircraft and the smaller trainer type aircraft have been popular for some years now as a quick and easy way for new fliers to get out there and fly.

The new CM-PRO range is however something quite different. Not only is the scale of aircraft that much larger than the .40 size ARTF's we have been used too, but the construction in beautifully finished, VERY LIGHT fibre glass molded fuselage and pre-skinned foam wings, film covered to a standard that has to be seen to be believed!!

Made in China should not put you off as the quality of construction is superb, with ply parts being of good quality wood, well fitted together and securely glassed or adhered into position. The colored gel coat finish on fuselage and other moldings leaves you wondering just exactly how they do it for the price. OK the kits look a little expensive at first glance, but when you look at what you get compared to a traditional timber kit of the same size they do take on a very good value for money deal.

The range of models available is also stunning, a wonderful range of "warbird" aircraft some not previously done before, up to the magic C160 Transall twin that flies as well as it looks as indeed do the whole range of aircraft CM-Pro …….It seems that every shipment we get has a new aircraft available……huge Tiger Moths, Edge 540's and the ever popular Extra series of scale aerobatic aircraft round off this very popular range.

I have been putting together the Sukhoi SU31 from the range and have powered it with the OS 160FX. Now I'm not recommending you overpower from the manufacturers recommended rating which is 1.20 2 stroke, but wanted a prop-hanging display machine that would climb out vertically and not even think about it………
I have however, to be on the safe side beefed up the wing joint with carbon-fibre and changed some hardware for more robust product, but apart from that stock standard!

So folks if you are looking for something different, want an aircraft that gets you in the air quick, really performs and leaves your flying buddies thinking you're a master builder and finisher then get yourself a CM-Pro kit……….You won't go wrong!
