GB's ATCU

State of the Art , micro-processor based Turbine Control Unit (TCU) which is compatible with all popular R/C systems. This TCU has been designed to be user friendly , parameter flexible and above all , requires no hidden add-ons. It has 20 user adjustable parameters to allow the user maximum flexibility to optimize his turbine installation.
The TCU will protect your Gas Turbine during start-up and while flying.
The TCU is designed to monitor various parameters of a Turbine for radio control models. The unit allows a Fully Automated or Manual startup procedure, and will only allow fuel to be fed to the turbine once all predetermined parameters are satisfied.

Features of the Turbine Control Unit
Parameters monitored while the turbine is running are:

Turbine speed High and low.
Exhaust Gas Temperature High and low.
Radio Control signal.
Loss of R/C signal for 5seconds will cause shutdown. (PPM/FM)
For PCM this must be set in the radio’s Failsafe setup.
The only radio settings that have to be adjusted is the throttle direction.
All the other settings are stored in the TCU at the push of a button.
SDU requires no battery as power is taken from TCU.
Shutdown diagnostics from the SDU.
Turbine total run time is monitored – User resettable.
Number of Turbine starts – User resettable.
User adjustable four point ramping up/down curve.
Pump and Battery Voltage Indication.
Optically isolated input to R/C to eliminate interference.
User settable min/max rpm and temperature.
User settable start EGT and RPM.
On Board Auto-Glow driver powered from pump battery.
Choice of Optical or Magnetic type speed sensor.
Visual indication of speed sensor switching via LED.
Sensitivity adjustment on speed input to maximize reliability.
Selection for 1 or 2 pulses per rev depending on sensor type

MW54 TURBOJET ENGINE

Full kit of parts: All parts are supplied finished machined, requiring a few holes to be drilled and tapped (drills & taps supplied). The rotor (shaft, compressor & turbine) requires balancing - a simple operation requiring no special tools. These tasks are left for the purchaser to complete to save labour intensive work for the manufacturer and thus reducing the overall costs. To further save costs the engine is supplied without pump or control equipment, leaving the customer to select the products of his choice. We can however supply a suitable pump, and recommend suitable ECU's (electronic control units). As a less costly alternative to an ECU, we will soon be able to supply a specially designed pump speed controller for this (or other) engine. Also included in the kit is a full set of working drawings, and comprehensive build/running instructions.

GB’s TPC

This is a State of the Art , micro-processor based Turbine Pump Controller (TPC or ECU) which is compatible with all popular R/C systems. This TPC has been designed to be user friendly , parameter flexible and above all , requires no hidden add-ons. An optional external switch can be installed by the user to allow protection of the turbine.
